The founding faculty member of the Ross Whipple student managed fund was Dr. Mike Casey. Subsequent faculty involvement includes Dr. James Packer and Dr. Glenna Sumner.
Currently the fund is being overseen by Dr. Frank Smith. He grew up in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and has enjoyed investing since he was 10 years old. His previous experience includes time managing other people¡¯s money through the Dirty Dozen Investment Group, large and small group investment seminars, research on statistically based momentum investing and is the founding partner of the Smart Stock System investment group.
